First day of preschool

Eric started preschool on Monday, April 12 at the elementary school. Due to his delayed speech, he was accepted as special needs. It's also free! He was very excited that he was going to school. "I go my cool now?"

I walked him in. His teacher came out to the lobby to get him and the other kids. He did very well, so did mommy. Mommy was happy that she now had almost 3 hours, four days a week, to try and get whatever she wanted to do done. By the time Thursday rolled around, Eric wasn't quite as excited. He clung to me when I dropped him off. But, went quietly. The start of week two was not so happy, he did NOT want to go! He cried, now i felt bad. But, his teacher said he did fine and stopped crying after about a minute. Ms. Gretchen said it's the same every fall. The honeymoon was over. Week two, the kids aren't so happy about leaving their parents. The third week Eric was good with school again.

Eric did the normal preschool activities. He brought home a bead and pipe cleaner bracelet, Fruit Loop and yarn necklace and my favorite... a Mother's Day card, flowers made from his hand prints. Ahhhhh!

I'm looking forward to seeing him grow, explore and learn new things when he goes back in September. For now, we get to hang out together for the summer.

A picture to embarrass him with when he brings a girl home.

To a sweet, cute happy boy

After daddy got home from work, the two of them mowed the lawn...

We sure hope he's as enthusiastic about mowing when gets old enough and Paul
turns the chore over to him. Eric mowed with him the whole time. He couldn't keep up, but stuck with daddy the best he could.
