First week of July... My 'almost' baby arrives

July 1st, I got a call from Emily, the pregnancy counselor at Catholic Charities, giving me details and saying a birthmom chose us to parent her unborn son. Due to complications, Mollie, the birthmom, was having some tests done and would probably be induced as early as the next morning, which meant I was going to be a mom that weekend! So much to do. Michael Bradley (name birthmom chose) was born 8:36 pm, July 2, 20" and 6 lbs. 8 oz., three weeks early. He had breathing issues and was on a CPAP to help his lungs to stay open. He was off that by Monday and by Wednesday afternoon he was off oxygen as well. I brought him home on Saturday July 10th. Joseph Michael was a welcome addition to the family.

Just before I left the nurse removed it. It was going to removed later anyway.
